We were excited that Alex Potter and Pete Reed of Global Response Management were able to join us as guest speakers at #WEM19.
Alex has been operating in the Middle East since 2012, having recently worked in Iraq as both a photojournalist and an emergency and trauma nurse during the battle of Mosul. Alex was a key player in the formation of GRM and now works as the Vice Present and Director of Communications.
Pete is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of GRM, a company he founded in order to fill the gaps he saw in humanitarian aid. Pete is currently working in Yemen, developing a medical response for areas traditionally considered difficult to access by many aid providers.
You found them in the Salisbury Suite on Day 2 talking about their work with GRM during the battle of Mosul.
The essentials:
Who: Alex Potter and Pete Reed.
What: ‘Mosul: Trauma Stabilisation and the Changing Humanitarian Paradigm’.
When: Day 2 (Sunday 24th November)
Where: Salisbury Suite.
Join us this year where for the first time in WEM history, we’re hosting a virtual conference (17th & 18th Oct) – so you can be inspired from the comfort of your sofa (or, frankly, from wherever in the world you can get online). Book your place today!
