“Every surgeon carries about him a little cemetery, in which from time to time he goes to pray”, René Leriche
We are really excited about our latest mainstage announcement, as we welcome Caroline Leech to #WEM19, as she talks openly about dealing with trauma that medical professionals will witness nearly every single day.
‘Most people who work in medicine will admit that they have encountered a case that is difficult to forget, one that has pre-occupied their thoughts beyond their shift and into their day-to-day lives’.
Emergency Medicine Consultant and Major Trauma Lead Caroline Leech will take to the stage to discuss her own experience of a case that stayed with her, exploring how you can acknowledge these emotions and work with these feelings to try and avoid long-lasting psychological injury.
Caroline will be speaking in the Biosphere on Day 3 – further details about this session are available HERE!
