Companies and organisations:Royal Marines
Session: Combat Below Zero
Rudi Taylor is a serving Colour Sergeant in the Royal Marines Commandos. His career began at the Commando Training Centre 17 years ago and he has spent the last ten years operating in the elite Royal Marines Mountain Leader branch. In this time he has been pushed to the limits of endurance; experiencing both frostbite and hypothermia. Based on his mountain and arctic experience Rudi recently designed and delivered the Army’s Cold Weather Training for Operations in the Baltics which saw his team train over 2000 Allied soldiers in cold weather combat.
As a CMI Level 5 Coach, Rudi uses these skills regularly to help his team reach peak performance when training for operations. In his spare time he follows his passions for the outdoors through Telemark ski instruction, Skyrunning, and multi-day adventure racing. Ingrained in his ethos, Rudi believes that time spent in the outdoors is key to a balanced, healthy life.
