Kyle was born in South Africa and loved growing up in the African bush, until the age of 17 when he decided to seek a new adventure and challenge, so he joined the British Army in 2003.
Kyle has served 15 years in the Royal Army Medical Corps and qualified as a Paramedic, serving in multiple environments and conflicts. Working in small teams in austere environments with extended evacuation timelines. A conservationist at heart, Kyle fell in love with the Jungle environment and the physical, logistical and medical challenges it presents both the team, the individual and the medical professional. He is fortunate enough to be responsible for the medical planning, managing and delivery of care for large-scale 7-week endurance expeditions to the Borneo Jungle twice a year. Kyle is a keen educator with the aim to mentor and develop the newest generation of specialist medics to deliver the highest levels of care to service personnel in all environments.
