Joshua Hinton is a Junior Doctor, with special interest in global health and expedition medicine. Having completed a degree in modern languages, as well as a Masters in medical anthropology, Joshua decided to embark on a career in medicine, hopeful to incorporate his varied education into his professional life.
He has lived in South America, working in Rio de Janeiro’s favelas in an educational and medical capacity. He undertook his elective in with EcoSwell, a sustainable development NGO based in north-west Peru and continues to work for the charity, developing a Medical Electives platform, as well as research opportunities and public health programmes. Having completed pre-hospital and expedition medicine courses and internships, Joshua is excited to be part of a number of expeditions this year.
