David has over 10 years of experience in EMS providing direct clinical care in various specialties, including rotor-wing and ground based critical care transport, community paramedicine, wilderness search and rescue, ski patrol and medically directed technical rescue. Additionally he holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Point Park University (Pittsburgh, PA) in Public Administration and Emergency Services Management.
He currently lives and works in the central mountains of Colorado. Outside of work David is an avid back-country enthusiast, enjoying downhill skiing, ski touring, long distance backpacking, mountain biking, climbing and paddle boarding. He completed a thru-hike of the Appalachian trail in 2019 and has aspirations to complete the US triple crown of long distance backpacking (AT, PCT, CDT). Additionally David has completed thru- hikes of other American long trails with plans to complete more when travel restrictions are lifted. David has been living with type 1 diabetes for more than 15 years but that has not stopped him from achieving his personal and professional goals.
