Daniel is a surgeon who works in the emergency room and at the trauma center in both public and private hospitals in Brazil. He is part of the association in Brazil of medicine in remote areas and adventure sports. He has taken a series of training courses such as AWLS (Advanced Wilderness Life Support) which has led to roles in medical expeditions in remote areas around Brazil and around the world, including places like India, Fiji, Israel, and the Amazon rainforest. He currently lives in Israel and is doing a fellowship in trauma surgery.
He is particularly interested in leadership, teamwork, improvisation, the use of alternative resources, and the ability to adapt to extreme environments and work within different cultural contexts.
