The World Extreme Medicine Conference provides a platform for inspiring medical minds to meet and for the first time is themed around ‘Inspiration Beyond the Ordinary’. Here, we challenge thinking, build bridges and introduce new ideas about medicine at its most remote and austere. The conference brings together four related medical fields in one arena: Pre-Hospital, Disaster & Humanitarian, Expedition, and Extreme Medicine, with experts in each field presenting the latest thinking and techniques, and sharing their inspiring stories.

The World Extreme Medicine Conference is organised as ‘Not for Profit’ activity by our hosting company World Extreme Medicine (WEM). As an event which is not controlled or dominated by headline sponsors, we realise ticket fees are sometimes a challenge. Based on customer feedback we have introduced an intermediate ticket band. This is for all medics and allied medical professionals at Band 6 or below and F1-2 Doctors. This new band improves accessibility across the broad spectrum of extreme medics, making the opportunity for learning and inspiration even greater.
• STUDENT: Undergraduate students only
• INTERMEDIATE: F1-2 Doctors, all allied medical/healthcare professionals up to and including Band 6
• MEDIC: All other grades
If you purchase one of the student or intermediate tickets, you may be asked for proof of status – it’s nothing to worry about, we just want to make sure our tickets go to those most suited to them. Please note: There is a limited number of student and intermediate tickets available – make sure to get your ticket early in order to avoid disappointment.
If you aren’t sure which ticket is right for you, please contact the WEM office on +44 (0)1297 300503 or email [email protected].
